Reflect, Learn, Grow: Discovering Its Depths, Embracing Its Impact, and Mastering the Art of Self-Discovery

It all begins with knowing the true meaning of the Word and then understanding and embracing the meaning of the words. Cambridge dictionary has different meanings for ‘reflection (noun)’ first it says the image of something in a mirror or on any reflective surface. Also used the word within the following context: In Greek mythology, Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. I mean ‘without falling down into ‘narcism’ trap for sure :)’

In terms of ‘sending back’ it means the return of light, heat, sound, or energy from a surface. So ask yourself - what do you give and what do you expect to get back? Which energy do you give to beautiful Universe when you make your decision and what do you expect the receive back from the Cosmos’ seen or unseen surface?

In terms of ‘sign’ the word means a sign or result of something. So ask yourself - what are the possible results based on your decisions? What are the signs that you need to follow-up on? What kind of results do you expect based on your decision? It does not have to be a mere business decision but also related to emotional ones. This separation even not a necessity or conclusion because ultimately we make our decisions based on our emotions even we don’t hear or see them in this way. Even the most cruel decision that you make about your company can be related to your ‘ego’ or your the meaning that you keep for success (I refer to corporate life decisions here)

Regarding ‘thought’ which is the most relevant (my point of view) meaning in this context mentioned as ‘serious and careful thought’. Serious and careful? Woow! Such a big responsibility? When something become serious and careful don’t you feel under pressure? But what if you just approach the reflection times with compassion? And prefer to not bother your lovely self (even you are the most successful leader or CEO or whatever the position you hold in your human form)? Why so serious? I love this question :)

Reflect… Keep it simple…

To facilitate your reflection journey, you may consider these basic tools:

  1. Find a Peaceful Space: Choose a serene and comfortable location where you can unwind and focus without interruptions.

  2. Set Aside Time: Integrate regular moments of introspection into your daily or weekly schedule. Even dedicating a few minutes each day can have a significant impact.

  3. Ask Yourself Questions: Use prompts or questions to guide your reflection process. Consider asking:

    • What did I learn from this experience?

    • What went well, and how can I improve?

    • How did this encounter make me feel?

    • What are my strengths and areas for growth in this scenario?

  4. Write It Down: Journaling can be a highly effective technique for reflection. Capture your thoughts, feelings, and insights in writing to thoroughly explore them.

  5. I won’t promote ‘Practice Mindfullness’ here. While mindfulness may not be for everyone, it remains a valuable practice for those who seek it. Ultimately, reflection is a journey of self-discovery—a path paved with love, kindness, and the ever-present opportunity for growth. However, if you need to practice let me know :)
